This coolant heater works by convection, cold coolant is drawn in as heated coolant rises out. The heater has a 110 volt three prong plug and 5/8” inlet and outlet. The heater heats in a range of 100-120 degrees and maintains that temp. This draws 1500 watts.

I'm currently using this heater for a warm water loop on my quail cages to keep their water lines from freezing. With a proper temp controller and contactor, this works great for my application. It's fast acting and hasn't had any issues so far. I'm sure it would work well in it's proper application too. Overall, I'd definitely recommend.
