WARNING ::::::: Personal Injury: Avoid touching the heater while it is energized
MOUNTING AND INSTALLATION:
Step 1: The pad heater must be installed on a flat, uniform surface with 100% of the heater surface in contact with the object being heated.
Step 2: If intended application area is painted, paint must be removed prior to installation. The temperatures associated with heater operation can cause paint to crack causing the heater to delaminate from applied surface.
Step 3: To obtain adhesion, the bonding surfaces must be clean and dry. Some recommended surface cleaning solvents are isopropyl alcohol or heptane. The solvent must be non-oil based. Step 4: Plug the pad heater in for a short time (about 5 seconds) to warm the adhesive.
Step 5: Slowly remove the cover on the heater to expose the pressure sensitive adhesive. Orient the heater as desired and apply it to the selected surface. Apply pressure to the entire heater with a roller to eliminate potential air gaps.
Step 6: Once applied to desired surface, energize heater for a short time (about 30 seconds). De-energize heater and again apply pressure.
Step7: Use the wire ties provided to secure the power cord in a manner that isolates the cord from hot surfaces and provides strain relief.
WARNING ::::::: Personal Injury: Avoid touching the heater while it is energized

If you have the skid plate option on your Toyota Tacoma then it won’t fit nowhere to rotate it also

Easy to install and use. Did what it was supposed to do. After more than one year Chevy finally fixed the recall on the block heater but not until after I fixed it with this. I will not be removing it just in case Chevy wiring has another issue.

Put on a 99 jeep 4.0 and use when temps hit 0 or below. Really takes the struggle out of the cold starts and the motor warms up real fast. Temp gauge is close to 100 when started with the heater alone. Plus it only uses 150 Watts. I cleaned off paint on my oil pan with a wire wheel on a angle grinder then cleaned with a rag with brake cleaner then plugged in the pad got it nice and warm and stuck it into place smoothing firmly. Then plugged in once installed let it get nice and warm for a half hour or so and smoothed firmly again. Zip ties cord so I can put away next to battery in summer or just pull out and shut hood in winter. Could not be happier with this product.

This unit puts out 44.7 watts of heat. Worthless. I'd return it but I'd have to put the van on a hoist to do it! Buyer beware.
