How the hose set works?

Heater hoses are essential parts of your vehicle’s cooling system, that can prevent engine to overheat. Heater hoses transport coolant from the engine to the heater core, so it can provide heat to vehicle cabin in the cold. It's been months since I used this part to replace a leaking one on my Grand Caravan and it has been fine. The only complaint I have is that it only comes as a pair while I only needed one of them. I guess I'm keeping the other part in case that other one eventually fails too.

The existing hose connection to the top of the quick connect piece had become compromised and was leaking. The hoses were still ok, but the heat shields/reflectors had become brittle and easily crumbled when I was trying to fix the leak. That made me decide to replace the entire heater hose network. I had some doubts about doing that, however, because buying new non-OEM parts is always a gamble. Gamble I did and bought this set. It was a good gamble! These hoses seem to be very nicely made, and the integrated Y connectors look robust and at least in theory provide fewer points of failure compared with Y connectors that require clamping. Installation was easy, and everything works great now.
