I own and daily drive an 02 Jeep Grand Cherokee, 4.7L and every since I have owned it I have to replace the OIl pressure sensor about every three years. The last one failed to read when warm. Having an untrustworhty oil pressure gauge that fails when the engine is hot is a major inconvenience, sometime before I got the jeep the previous owner had actually swapped out the oil pump and crankshaft bearings due to an inoperative sender. Knowing that this is the history in this truck I have never fully trusted the oil pressure is always sufficient. Installed this sensor which plugged and threaded in without issue, and my hot idle oil pressure reports back just fine.
