I am using this button currently as a start button on a 43 year old motorcycle. Parts are difficult to locate, and this momentary switch is working well for that purpose. The waterproof cover is working perfectly when the bike gets caught in wet weather. It is a large button, larger than it seems in pictures. If you only have a small area, be aware. It is about one inch in diameter and two inches deep. This would be an excellent button for industrial applications. Overall, it is a very heavy duty, and very well made button.

I needed a new switch for our backup generator and this one looked to fit the bill. I was able to wire it in and test it. It worked exactly as I needed. It is a momentary switch and only stays connected while you are pressing the button. That's about all you can ask of a button. It does require a decent amount of pressure to operate but that is a good thing as it cannot be accidentally triggered. you have to press it with authority to make it work.

This is a momentary-on push button (internal spring). I got it to create another way to start the inboard engine on my boat. Sure, I can use the key, but that's at the front, several feet from the engine, and when I'm doing work on that, I wanted a way to crank it right at the powerplant. This did the job for me.I can see all kinds of other uses for this and may get another for the horn.

Looks just like the picture, just a simple two post line break switch that connects a circuit when the button is pressed and opens the circuit when it is released.Rubber cap seems sturdy for lots of repeated uses. It threads out about a full inch so that's the weather resistance (add a bit of pipe thread tape). The plating is nothing special, certainly a bit more industial finish not a cosmetic one. Unless you are leaving it out in the weather or direct sunlight, should give you many years.Scrap wire testing with a 12v battery shows it works. I will say that it takes a thumb more than a finger to push it fully, it's pretty firm. So, mount it through something sturdy.

My teen aged son and I built a launch control system using a keyed switch and this momentary-on switch, with a small motorcycle battery supplying the power.Everything is mounted to or inside a project box, and looks very professional. The keyed switch is there to prevent a kid from pressing the button switch while attaching the wires to the rocket motor! This is a heavy duty switch that will last years for just about any purpose including using it to start an engine.

Simple device, seems well put together. Drill a hole in the panel, mount it, push it.I added an O-Ring to hopefully make it more water resistant as it's exposed to weather in my application. Hopefully the rubber button cover holds up to the Sun.

I used this switch on my Kioti tractor after the safety computer kept breaking and keeping me from starting the tractor. i bypassed the module by installing this switch to my solenoid and starter. Now I can start the tractor easily from the seated position with out having to jump wire between starter and solenoid.
