I am thrilled with the Engino - STEAM Labs Toys - How Solar Energy Works? kit for my kids. They have been having a blast exploring the world of solar energy through the guided experiments and activities. The educational aspect is fantastic, and it keeps them engaged while learning. This kit is a perfect blend of fun and education, making it an excellent choice for kids interested in science. Highly recommend it!

A basic and fun starter pack to basically teach children (and adults) about solar power, which is great.Instruction manual for building the product has two variations to choose from and then cardboard to cut out to design your own appearance, making it unique, which is great for creativity as well.On the creativity note, the pieces can be assembled in different ways to build different things away from the manual. The propeller is solar powered and spins with enough light, however, the disappointing thing is, this is the only solar powered element and the only part that will move. Even the wheels don't turn, so it can't even be played like a regular toy, just sat there with a spinning propeller in light, or otherwise just sitting there.Overall, I think this was fun and educational. If only the product demonstrated a bit more solar power besides just a moving propeller, I would be more enthusiastic about this. As it is, it provides a basic demonstration, which is good enough, I guess, and the information pack really helps with the explanation.£19.99 isn't the cheapest, but nothing educational comes cheap, so if you want to teach your children about solar power, this is a good place to start.

Building and colouring your very own green house is such a great idea for children, engaging through the whole process, the manufacturers have the age range spot on 8+ -100.Children love getting involved with gardening and it's such a fantastic learning tool as well as a bonding expereince. My son who is 9 needed a bit of help putting the greenhouse together but after that he loved the whole process of decorating the greenhouse and making it his own.You have to provide your own soil and seeds ih encourages you child to make choices as to what they want to grow.Harvest your little gardener, teach them about temperature control, to check soil quality, encourage them to take full control and be responsible for their own science experiment. The greenhouse can be used over and over again and you can monitor what grows well and fast and monitor daily progress.I really can 't praise this kit enough, children aren't even aware they are learning and it's good for the enviroment, we looked at plants and how the bees need these to survice so froma greenhouse we were able to move onto ecology and save some bees as well.Excellent value for money, perfect for home schooling, as a hobby, something for grandparents to do with their grandchildren and amzazing for the environment.I kept my son;s greenhouse in the conservatory which is a perfect breeding ground with the humidity and temperature.

This is an impressive educational toy that’s also fun to build and follow the brilliant workbook provided. The box contains everything you need to build a fully functional mini greenhouse, as well as plant pots. You will need some compost and seeds to fill in the work book tasks. It also comes with skins to colour and instructions for downloading skins from the Engino site, you can also create your own. You can also download an app for instructions in 3D view. The parts are sturdy and look good quality. The booklet that comes with this toy takes this to another level. As well as fully illustrated instructions with list of materials there’s a brief history of agriculture, information on plants, photosynthesis, respiration, transpiration, types of greenhouse, experiment work sheet with exercises, note pages and a knowledge quiz to test what was learned.Toys like this have several levels of entertainment and educational value. There’s something to build, interesting reading material, an ongoing experiment to follow over time and basic IT skills involved in downloading skins to colour and using the app. Once built the greenhouse can be used for growing experiments and continue to be used to grow seeds.I’m so impressed by this kit I will be buying others for birthday and Christmas presents. My 10 year old nephew can’t wait to build this, he is really interested in their garden and helping with planting. I will add some pics when he’s built it.
