Love these cakes. Keeps down insect activity without imparting overwhelming unpleasant odors.

Containers are paper, not plastic. One of my "circles" arrived in crumbs-not a solid piece.

If you are a regular yearly user of mothballs, you are aware of the smell and understand it will be strong to start, and dissipate over the year. These aren't some magical mothball with no stank, they simply have a slightly better scent with the addition of cedar. They absolutely do the job and are a nice alternative for people who can't stand lavender (previously, the only added scent option).

At first, when you open the package, it does have that strong "urinal cake" smell. However, after exposure, the smell become more sweet and cedar-like. I wasn't plagued with moths before, but got these as a preventative measure after having discovered little holes in my best suit (after moving to my current home).

This is a strong scent, cedar-enhanced or not. I hope it works, and it seems like it will, but the cedar doesn't completely obscure the Napthalene smell.
