Back to the same loose steering after installing these bushings in April 2023 and in less than 4000 miles. The steering rack moves laterally nearly 1/4" when turning the steering wheel. Don't waste your time and money!

The metal interior sleeve on these bushings is a couple of millimeters longer than the originals. As a result, when both bushings are installed, the flanges of the bushings cannot both be flush against the body of the rack. I also note that there was less rubber on the new bushings, which makes me wonder how long they will last--we'll see. Anyway, I ground down the new bushings to make them fit.

Working great on my 2007 Mercedes GL320 CDI!If you cut the driver's side rack bolt from behind and replace it, you can reverse the new bolt and do the replacement job using ramps in 30 minutes or less. No need to remove anything else to replace the bushings.

Had to replace the driver side bushing because the original bushing was degrade from a steering fluid leak. The passenger side was perfect. Difficult due to space constraints, but very doable. I did have to cut the head of one bolt and reveres the bolt do to the transfer case being in the way of removal.

They fit perfectly; obviously cost much less than the Mercedes branded bushings.
