I am very impressed as of course I had to go get some distilled water to set it with the first time you use it and then I checked my well water against my Osmosis System water and very interesting readings that seems like they would be definitely correct I will be using this in the future for sure to test all water that goes into my body thank you

I have used a few standard tds meters in the past ,so I am not new to this . If you let the water boil and cool you will read a different TOC level than just cold tap water. I have tried this on two different water sources (well in Lodi township michigan) and (Chity) in town water in saline mi . The Chity water TOC was about double the well water 160 well 300 city. On top of that I use a pure water mini classic ct water distiller to purify all my water , what was left in the bottom of the distiller was unbelievable because of the (chity) water thats been made drinkable by the people who care about us .

This is the second one. The first one did not give me any readings "000" no mater what I did so I figured it was defective. I re-ordered a replacement one and to my surprise it had the same problem as the first one. I calibrated the unit no problem got "C-8" screen then the "SUC" message that it was calibrated and ready to go. But no matter what I tried the dreaded "000" display kept displaying and auto shutdown after 1 min which is normal. I though to myself what are the odds of both units portraying the same issue?!! wound up that when you do the calibrate you only push the power button 3 times. So I figured after you turn the unit off "holding the power button for 5 seconds" I'd turn the unit on and try to take a reading and got the "000" screen what you need to do IS : turn the unit on , put the unit into what ever water you are testing shake the unit lightly so there are no bubbles on the main head of the unit THEN push the button again. you will now see the display read "---" and you will get the water reading. I guess I was having a Senior moment, hope this helps

Will not do anything beyond powering up. Continually gives "no sample" error no matter what I use (distilled, tap, or well water I KNOW has high TDS). 'Instructions' are seriously lacking in any kind of useful troubleshooting info. This is going back in the box today!

Feels well made and like the lithium rechargeable battery, but I can't get the calibration process to run without failing. Regardless the TDS value seems reasonable. That was the main reason I bought it. It reports TOC and COD but not sure how since everthing I read says these are complicated tests requiring chemical reagents and take hours for the results!

We had a lot of water issue after we moved into the current house which operated on well water. The well water quality was never consistent. One time there was E-coli detected in the water. We ended up having a water purification system installed along with UV disinfection and reverse osmosis. To ensure consistency of the treated water quality, we had to hire someone to collect and test water sample from time to time. It was very troublesome and costly. We tried a pocket tester but it only gave us ppm reading with no indication of any organic compounds. Finally, we came across Aquav 3-in-1 on Amazon and decided to give it a try. We were so glad that it actually read TOC and COD values in addition to ppm. By the way, Total Organic Carbon (TOC) is a measure of organic carbon found in a sample whereas Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD) measures amount of O2 that can be consumed by reactions to determine both organic and inorganic substances in a sample. The product was super easy to use. We did not even have to calibrate it. To ensure its accuracy, we had the guy who tested our water come back and compared our reading to his. The result was stunningly accurate. Now we finally get our peace of mind as we enjoy our precious clean water. Highly recommend!
