Pros are that this is a good extension cord overall. It has 3 outlets which is handy, and mounts very easily. The mount provides a slight gimbal so you can swing it around which again is very handy.No complaints about the quality of the housing or the cord itself.Cons are that the plug cord would ideally be double the length, if not longer. Giving me a 3ft cord limits where I could hang this thing (on the fly) without having to plug it into a second extension cord or installing an actual outlet right where it hangs.If this were permanently mounted, then installing an outlet next to it in the ceiling would be the right move to make.The cord is also kind of difficult to retract. Sometimes it goes right away, but I find that it's harder to get retracting back in than it should be.

As my title and picture suggests, the housing arrived missing a chunk of plastic, hence the reason I took off a star. The mounting hole is right in the center of the bracket and I wanted to mount it to my truss holding up the garage motor without having to buy additional hardware. I drilled a hole closer to the edge of the bracket and hung it to the truss with a carabiner I had laying around. The retracting mechanism works reasonably well, the length is perfect for my needs, and the indicator light on the receptacle is a nice feature. All in all, a good purchase.

Hung it up in my garage from the ceiling works great. Comes in handy all the time. Way easier to pull down then to have to try and find an extension cord and roll and un-roll by hand

Great product and I eventually bought two. I like the fuse with it as it saved a trip to the panel a few times. Seems durable and well made. Cord is think and of decent quality. Retracts well and hasn't failed yet.

Install was easy next to garage opener. Extends around mt entire garage & into my driveway. Feels sturdy and easy to use & 1 second to retract. Perfect for my use.

I installed this above my work bench. Installation was easy. The tension on the pull is easy to extract the cord and easy to retract. Works great. I like the light on the end of the cord to let you know you have power. I recommend it for your home workshop.

Wonderful Roll up cord. Couldn't be easier to install! Instructions say you can install as is or cut the plug to wire direct. i installed this in a 30 minutes though to be fair i do have difficulty getting around and cant climb ladders so you might be able to install this much faster if you are in better shape that i am. All you need to do is screw the bracket into a stud in the ceiling and then use the included pin to hang the cord roll. i did substitute a cotter pin for what they provided since it would make installing it easier and removal just as fast if needed. Cable is a bit difficult, initially, to roll back up until you get the hang of it then it does so easily. Even a small red status light on it to indicate if it has power so you can always tell it is working. My only suggestions for future revisions is to make the ball stopper is to make it easier to move back down again if desired. i need to get it to move up a bit as i keep bopping my head on the cable. LOL. Recommend to al for the price!

This was an excellent purchase. I’ve seen similar items for much more and I don’t think their quality is any better. I was extremely impressed with this extension cord. It does exactly what I needed it to do. I mounted it to the ceiling and attached it to a fabric cutting saw. Before I had the ceiling mount there was always the danger of cutting the cord. Now that the cord is retracted towards the ceiling it always keeps the cord away from the cutting blade. Much safer for the operator, and prevents damaging the cutting tool. Definitely recommend this product.
