I work in photo retail and have put together hundreds of soft boxes with many different units. This product is just too cheap. I understand trying to get a deal but this is just poor quality. I put it together and one of the rods fell inside the head. When I attempted to remove it the stud popped off of it and fell inside. Very cheap. Thank you Amazon for having a wonderful return policy

The item shipping was superfast, and the equipment have a great quality, a real bargain. Perfect for interviews. I recoment two or three kits. For a whole studio lighting.

I ordered this kit because I don't typically do much studio work, but I needed something for newborns. When I assembled the kit, only one softbox would assemble. I got the first one put together with no trouble, but the 2nd one...not so much. When I put the softbox over the light head, the elastic in the softbox snapped. I'm fully aware that this is a "budget" kit...and that I can "fix" it, but I shouldn't have to. I attempted to contact customer service for the manufacturer with no reply.For now, the one softbox + my speedlite is sufficient for newborn photography.

If you need a quality set of studio lights, I would recommend this set. worth the money, produces soft warm lighting.I don't think this will travel well in the case provided though and that is why only 4 stars. They take about 15 minutes to set up once you know how to do it.

This lighting kit does the job - puts out a decent amount of white light. The softboxes aren't the easiest things to put together. I would not say they are collapsible since you have to completely disassemble them - I ended up just leaving them together when I transport them. Stands are sturdy and better quality than I expected. 4/5 stars.
