I'm 27 and love to skate! These fit me great. I normally wear a kids 3-4 and they are well made but cute! I didn't notice any flaws, received extra laces in yellow so I have blue ones and yellow to change out when I want to or when needed which is a great addition. You can double the laces or mix n match. I dont have any issues skating fast, slow, forwards, backwards, or sideways in these. The wheels are grippy and sparkly, plus the stoppers are made just right to be able to stop or slow down with easy. I find them to be safe enough for any age to wear. They make a teal pair which I feel would work for a boy too. I was delighted at the best part - the cushion is perfect as long as you get the right size and you'll have NO BLISTERS! All - around fun makers :)
