The SG debuted in 1961 to replace the Les Paul which had been temporarily discontinued because of low sales. The SG Custom features an Ebony fingerboard, LP Custom style inlay, gold hardware, and Alnico Classic PRO humbuckers with CTS electronics.

Bellissima, suona bene e buone meccaniche.Ha avuto bisogno di una sistemata alla tastiera dal liutaio.Mettete in conto altri €100 di liuteria per sistemare i tasti (per questo do 4 stelle), ma una volta a punto è piacevolissima da suonare

I ordered it on the 18th with an expected arrival time of Dec 27th-30th but received it on Dec 21st which is awesome. This made in China guitar has the Rhythm and treble switches reversed so you have to switch it to rhythm to get the treble pickup. The Volume knobs are also reversed. I don't know if that is a symptom of the switch being reversed or its own issue. The bottom most volume knob should control the treble pickup. Lost a star as I will have to spend time myself fixing it or money for a tech to fix it.The sound is awesome despite the reversed switch. I actually had to switch back to my clean channel on my DSL100 for chords but this is fine as I mostly play ACDC. I believe the strings are in fact 10s as the description says. I'll probably change them out for 9s but man do they sound good as is.The feel of the guitar is great. The fret edges were just a tiny bit sharp but nothing that hurt my hand after hours of playing. They will wear down on their own overtime. Your mileage may vary. There was a small amount of fret buzz compared to my professionally setup Gibson SG Special. There wasn't a single scratch or blemish that I could find. It looks amazing with the gold hardware. Cheaper buying this than the gold hardware and guitar separately for a tech to install. Everything appears to be on straight. No twisted neck from being shipped in the cold. Don't forget to remove the protective film over the pick guard.

I did feel some fret sharpness at some areas which I can sand down with 2200 grit sand paper. Aside from this tiny issue, it's an amazing guitar for the money. And I do not need to replace the pickups as in most older Epiphones. Tuning gears are solid, Chinese have come a long way to perfecting guitar manufacturing.
