Google "LM555 Data sheet" to get the full specifications as well as application circuit diagrams. This is just the integrated circuit itself (in an 8 pin through-hole DIP package) as shown.You can use the 555 IC to make triggered one-shots (single pulse generator) or multi-vibrators (repetitive pulse generator). The data sheet for the LM555 has all the details.
