This stand worked well for my son’s gaming screen. Easy to set up.

I use a console as a computer music station. It’s plenty wide, like a writing desk, but at only 18” deep it lacks nearly a foot of what a typical writing desk might have.My workflow centers around a 14” MacBook Pro, my favorite size for portability, but while doing audio production, I really need the extra screen space of a larger monitor. My space doesn’t afford me the option of a wall mounted monitor support, nor does my shallow desk have space for a desktop clamp mount. I really needed something free standing, with a small enough footprint to allow room for my laptop to sit in front of the larger 27” LG monitor. This stand is absolutely perfect for that application. It is sturdy, easy to assemble, and uses minimal desk space.I had this rig all set up within minutes of unboxing the monitor stand. At $20 or so you could hardly ask for a better more elegant and affordable solution. It might be important to note that this support does not allow for quick 90° monitor rotation, but a monitor can easily be mounted at 90° if desired.

The stand was excellent but the up and down adjustments is not as easy as some stands.

Used this for a 27in LG 4k monitor. The stand has great adjustability for tilt and swivel but terrible for height adjustment. You will need to unscrew the set screw in the back and lift the monitor onto a different bracket, and then screw it back in every time you want to adjust it. If you plan to set it and forget it, then this is great. But if you wish to adjust height often, I would look elsewhere. The stand is sturdy and very stable. I see nothing that will break or fail anytime soon.

I switched to a narrow desk setup and my existing monitor had a stand where I could barely fit the keyboard in the same amount of space. This stand only requires about 4.5in from the back of the monitor to the wall compared to the stock stand required more like 7in which is crazy, and the base on the original one added another 3 or 4 inches to the front. This literally made my narrow desk situation workable whereas it was not before. It's also being used with a large 34in curved monitor which is not super light and I have no concerns about stability. The only thing I didn't really care for is the way the mounting plate attaches to the vertical stand, you would have to manually pull the monitor off and move it up or down in the brackets to change the height. That's ok but quite a bit of work for a large monitor. If you need to frequently adjust your height for whatever reason, I would look for something else, otherwise, once you get it at the correct height, you won't have to worry about it again. For the cost and function of this, I can't deduct anything.
