The fabric isn't very thick , however the ear flaps are a double layer. The fabric is very stretchy; the front inside headband is a strip of 1"~ wide elastic, so there is a lot of give. I wear a 7 1/2 hat size (a reasonably large head but not huge) and there was room to spare. A light-weight skullcap/beanie/liner/do-rag would fit underneath - no problem. I knotted my ponytail on the upper back of my head and it covered it easily. Doing this also allowed me to pull the ear flaps all the way down to my lobes & cover the back of my neck. The generous brim seemed to ride a bit low & pushed on my glasses, but I think can adjust the hat around this. I think it's a keeper; it'll be nice to take walks with shade on my eyes and without my ears freezing.

Since I was a kid I've loved wearing hats, and to this day I wear a hat most days. For most of the year, this is no issue. But the winter months, and I should note that I'm very cold-sensitive, this can be an issue if I'm working outside for a prolonged period. If I'm just running out to the car and to a store, a regular hate is fine. But if I'm doing yardwork or building something outdoors in December, January, February, my ears freeze. Usually I just put on a beanie in such situations, but while that gives me warmth, it doesn't give a "hat like" experience. This items combines my love of wearing a hat with my love of having a warm head. It has a very soft fleece-like finish with a firm brim. The side/back is longer and perfectly goes over my ears and even covers some of my neck. It's super lightweight and unlike a beanie, gives me the comforting sight of a bill in my sightline that I'm so accustomed to.Highly recommend!

Good idea but poor execution because of the difference between the super soft and stretchy fleece and the hard and rigid brim. I normally wear a 7-1/4" ball cap so I'm a pretty average sized head. This cap wouldn't fit well because of the overly stretchy nature of the material and the cap relies on an elastic around the forehead to keep the cap in place. For me this didn't work well at all and the brim kept falling down into my field of view.

It fits everyone in the family, including my husband who has extra large head.It has quite complicated construction. There is a wide elastic band going around the head in the same place where the edge of a regular baseball hat is. it is quite clever. It does cover the ears and some of the back of the neck. It looks perfect for cooler weather. It is unlined. It is made of fleece and is quite stretchy all around, except for the bill itself. The bill is very rigid and has layered constructionThe hat looks quite nice. There is a stitched on logo on the back. I guess it can be picked off, but it is quite nice and unassuming.Husband claimed it for himself

Very nice hat, but only comes in one size. I was disappointed that it was to large for me but it fits my husband and he likes it.
