I have many duvet covers of different weights/fabrics, so I thought I knew what to expect. Sadly this is the thinnest and sheerest cover I have. I read many reviewers were expecting a duvet and not a cover, so when they complained they received a 'sheet', I thought, "that's basically what a duvet cover is". However, this is like the walmart no-name brand low TC sheet that you can see through material... not the cotton or Tencel sheets that are like 350 TC (or higher) which are nice and of good quality (which is what I usually receive when I buy regular duvet covers). Even summer duvet covers I bought from Ikea or a microfibre cover I have are heavier than this cover set. If your duvet has any markings or stains, that will show through where it's white on the cover. Yes, I get this is used for like 1-2 months of the year, but because the fabric is so light-weight, I can't say how long this cover set will last. The zipper appears to be well stitched.Would I recommend this to anyone? No. I expected material that was slightly heavier-weighted. It is cute, but that's about it, imo. I haven't made up my mind whether or not I wanted to return it since the material is so thin.Tip: I read that others said their cover colours bled, but I added 1c of vinegar to the wash and it did not bleed at all. The back is still white. When I bought my first luxury sheets years ago, I was advised to wash all new sheets with 1c of vinegar added with detergent and found it has always made my sheets colour-fast and softer.

The description was somewhat misleading. I thought I was purchasing a comforter set , but it's a comforter cover. Although it's a beautiful set, I'm very disappointed that it's not a comforter
