So,The product does what it does. It works functionally. However, my major gripe is that these products seem to neglect that the cord is definitely NOT long enough to wire it for all cars and situations. I wired it from my radar detector mounted up in my window where it's hidden. I had to do a lot of work to try to get this to run from there to my center console where it plugs in and well hidden/professionally looking. I would've definitely liked to have another 1-2 feet so I could better tuck/hide the cord. And I prefer not wiring it directly since I'm not experienced enough and don't have time to drop it off for someone to do it.

I would have preferred a replacement of the original with the mute feature but this will suffice. It works great at a fraction of the cost of the original. What I like the most with this one is the straight cord that I can tuck the excess in and not have the coiled cord in view.

Worked perfectly to permanently relocate radar detector high in the windshield out of outside view and still hide the wire running to the outlet.

Just what I needed for my Tesla Model 3 radar detector install. With this 12ft cord I was able to mount the detector on the rearview mirror, and run the power cable from the center console. Working great with my Uniden R7 and BlendMount bracket.

Honestly, I didn't think this cord would last long at all. I needed one for a 24 hour drive I was going to embark on. The original cable for my radar detector had failed and stopped working. It's an escort radar detector and the "smart cord" costs $40-$50 to replace. I didn't feel like spending that much money on a cable I wouldn't need much longer.this thing has surpassed my expectations immensely. It is still working after daily repetitive use West no tearing, kinks or splitting that other reviewers have mentioned.Don't get me wrong, this feels cheap. It doesn't seem very durable at all. Iftar yanked it around, you would probably have a much different experience than I have had. If you use care, this cable should work as well for you as it has and continues to, for me.

My old charging cable stopped working and the replacement was approximately $30. Not only was this much cheaper but the longer cord was fantastic for hiding the cables and keeping them out of the way. I have a BMW and the charging point is in the console between the two from seats so having this extra cable to keep it out of the way was great. The charger has worked flawlessly with no problems.

We bought a new car with a totally different set up as to where to plug in our Beltronics radar detector. Our old coiled cord just wasn't going to work in order to reach the plug in area and to not interfere with our pop up navigation system. We saw this cord on Amazon and thought we'd give it a try as it looked just like something that could work. We have been very happy with the results as we have been able to reach our plug in with no problem and have the ability to have the cord go under and around things so it is out of the way and not interfering with anything else in the car. I also must mention that we are impressed with the quality of the cord as it appears much more durable than any other straight cords we have ever had with any radar detector and looks like it should hold up for a long time without wear and tear. Highly recommend this cord especially if you have problems like we did where the coiled cord just won't work out. Delivery from Amazon was very fast and on time, enjoy ordering through Amazon for many things that are hard to find elsewhere and/or, many times, at a better price too.

I replaced my Beltronics Radar Detector Coiled Power Cord with this straight power cord after using the coiled power cord for about 4 years. Because of the position of the radar detector on my windshield & the distance the power receptacle was from the detector, I didn't realize the slight bit of tension that was created on the coiled power cord. Over time this caused stress & a constant pull on the connection between the power cord to the RJ45 connector piece. Soon enough, the stress was enough to interrupt the power supply to the radar detector resulting in the unit shutting off intermittenly & sometimes unable to get power at all. So I went with this longer, straight power cord which gives me the proper length I need for my radar detector. So far, so good
