This scope has all the specs to qualify as a winner. ESSLNB is not a widely known brand, and there are only a few user reviews. My experience with it has been good: the optics provide a clear image, and the mechanics (manual zoom and focus) are smooth and precise. The large objective lens (80 mm) helps bring in the available light. At 20X, the large eyepiece is filled with the image, with a nice wide field of vision. At 40X, the field of view is reduced but the image is just as sharp. At 60X, the field of vision is severely reduced and magnification is maxed out so it's important to hold the scope perfectly still. If you do, the reward is a clear image with less brightness. Distortion at high magnification is always an issue, but the ESSLNB scope does not dissappoint. The scope is of good quality, but the accessories are not. The tripod is functional but it will not hold up under field conditions. I haven't tried the phone holder yet, but it is made of cheap plastic so I have low expectations.Overall, the ESSLNB 20-60x80 Spotting Scope is a good value for the money, but you will need to invest in a better tripod. I can recommend it.

I purchased this scope to use for spotting on a gun range. When I received it, I assembled it on my patio and could only see at 20x and the focus was not good. I was going to return it but gave it a second chance at the gun range. Wow, what a difference. At 100 yds I could see a small target and count 6 rifle holes in it at 60x. The 20x thru 60x worked well and the foucs dialed it in. I like this scope and will keep it.THE NEGATIVES are that the tripod is a bare bones tripod but it worked well. I did not like the 80mm lens cover. You pinch 2 slides towards the center, insert it in the lens and release the slides which are supposed to catch on the inside of the lens hood. Well, sometimes I had to pinch and insert over and over to get it to catch. It would also be nice if the bag for the scope also had a compartment to house the tripod and the phone adapter.
