Nice design, smooth action...nothing sloppy at all. I installed it on a 1/2 scale mexican classical guitar and it works great. The gear holds it's tune now.My only complaint is that the screws that stick out from the back of the tuning knobs for flat-blade screwdrivers have sharp edges and could easily scratch other surfaces or skin. I would prefer a phillips or allen screw in that position. I took a piece of sand paper to the screws to minimize the scratching and it's better.Otherwise it's a stellar piece of gear. Love them.

After installing and during the tightening of the strings, the small gear started slipping. I had to completely remove the tuners and inspect. I had to remove all the gears and remove the key shaft and tighten all the screws. Just to be sure they would not loosen in the future, I used red thread locker. Reassembled and added a VERY small amount of graphite lube to the gears as they were very tight. After tightening the strings to tune, it seemed to be very solid. The reason I 3 starred was because of the poor quality control. All the screws were loose.

These classical guitar keys have an intricate decorative design and good build quality. Good way to dress up an otherwise plane looking guitar. These are NOT built for 6-string dreadnought or electric guitars.
