I wanted something that I could take to start plein aire painting and not have alot of bags. Have not used this outside yet, due to weather, but with the tripod plate makes a little heavier. Would be nice if had the straps on the inside to have the supply pouch upright. Also a way to attach a tripod would be good. The larger bag has these. The bag is still to pricey for what it offers.

I find the variety of storage places and pieces just about as good as it could get for drawing, watercolor and gouache. Haven't tried to use it for oils because I have another optimal set up for plein air. And it's fun to use

Years ago I bought a similar product that initially I thought I liked, (I liked the idea of it) but soon enough I found it irritated my wrist as the "easel" area was too close to the body, cramping my wrist; and the largest sketchbooks to fit it were 5 x 8 inch. The ETCHR does not share this problem. Having used it a few times since its recent arrival, I am very happy with my purchase and highly recommend the ETCHR Slate, as it can accommodate (and carry) a number of sketchbook sizes, and hold my pens and watercolor brushes while drawing away from my desk. A bit pricey, but I'd do it again, as it is well constructed and awesome to use.

Recently I took my etchr field case, slate satchel, and sketchbook on a camping trip. All three are great products and accompany each other perfectly. I had the field case for a year, and held off on the slate satchel thinking it would be too big and heavy for my needs. Boy was I wrong. It is perfect and mounting on a tripod was awesome when sitting by the campfire. Also using it on the picnic table was great too. I am so glad I finally bought it. Held my watercolors, brushes, sketchbook, 2 water cups, and micron pens. The field case held my watercolor pencils. To carry I used the velcro straps on the field case and connected them through the shoulder strap loops on the satchel. I will have a review up on my YouTube channel : "scott hervieux outdoors " shortly.

The bag is well constructed and looks really great. The different attachment points for the strap are well thought out and make it possible to sketch while standing by using the strap over your shoulder to support and hold it in place. There is just enough storage for some pens and other smaller supplies, but only about 1.5 - 2 inches of space from front to back on the inside. There is a pocket on the outside as well. The modular velcro system is nice and really convenient as well. I wish there was a tad bit more space inside but overall it's a quality bag.

This was a great addition to what I already have for sketching material! The satchel has held up perfectly so far and the the connection option for a tripod works great!

Love this bag. It makes it so easy for me to sketch plain air with either my ipad pro or my sketchbook. The wife now wants one so I will be giving her this one and going for the larger version.

This Etchr bag, like other Etchr products, did not disappoint. Sturdy, flexible design that lets me organize my art supplies in different ways. Nice looking bag, too. Very happy with my purchase!

Pour peinture en plein air. Bien mais une bretelle supplémentaire pour faire sac à dos aurait été la bien venue.
