These seals are very difficult to install. This is not due to the quality of these light seals. It SHOULD be difficult. Think of watch repair. If you are a very handy person who has fun tinkering and a steady hand, you get it. I used all 3 sets before I became good at it. I first tried isopropyl alcohol (99%) but is started separating the adhesive from the foam. Next I tried water and it was not slippery enough to allow me to make sure I had the adhesive on the very bottom of the narrow channel. The perfect combo was using Purell hand sanitizer. It allows for some slip to move it around. I also made sure I had some Purell on my hands and in the channel the seals fit into. Now I only have to wait a day or 2 for the Purell to evaporate allowing the adhesive to grab on to the camera channel. I think the reason there are so few reviews is that people get frustrated installing these. Trust me when I say this: There is no way for this to be an easy install. At least the quality of the seals are great! My Nikkormat FTN is all set. Reach out to me if you have any questions. I'd love to help a fellow camera enthusiast out! Update: 2 days have passed and the adhesive is bonded well to the bottom of the channels. Purell is a mixture of ethyl alcohol, isopropyl alcohol, water, glycol and glycerin to slow the evaporation and provide lubrication for hands. The alcohol's and water will completely evaporate given time. The glycerin and glycol are a very small % of the mixture and will combine with the adhesive quite well. If you have the kit, you can take a sample of the foam that is not cut for the seals and test it with Purell on another surface.
