I had the chance to use this for a 6 hr drive this weekend. We plugged it in the night before so it would be cold when I packed the items. The internal storage was large enough for me to put snacks and some cooked meats for 3 days, but I wasn't able to store my carton of almond milk. Then we used the cigarette charger in the car and the fridge worked great. It would turn off when the car turned off, and it would automtically turn back on to our pre-programmed temperature as soon as the car was turned back on.... I didn't have to press the power button. My food remained cold and fresh. It is a little loud in the house, but I didn't notice it while driving. It looks like a medium sized cooler, but the internal storage is not near as large as the outside storage, so keep that in mind. I'd say it can hold about as much a child's large lunch box that has been stuffed to the gills. Also, since it's not a cooler, it will begin to warm up once turned off. There is a slight ability to hold the cool temp, but it doesn't last long. If you're doing a long trip on a hot day with not ice in it, you aren't going to want to keep the car off for too long.This seems like a well made, durable product. It will give you piece of mind for keeping medications or food safe at a particular temperature.

My primary discount in a star is around the description and what you get. More on that in a bit.What I like:* Relatively quiet. You can hear it, but it's largely a fan-type sound.* Not huge, so doesn't steal a lot of space* Relatively light. Certainly not heavier than a similar sized cooler filled with ice - in fact, I'd say it's lighter.* Comes with two cords. You can plug it in at home or your hotel for some pre-cooling, then use your car to maintain the cool.* It has a battery protect. That means it's less likely to kill the battery in your car. Do read the manual on this feature.What could use improvement:* Where you plug the cord into the unit, there is no structure there. I feel like I'm going to break the side of the unit when I pull the cord out.* Description says you can hold 12 cans. Perhaps 12 6oz cans. Using standard U.S. 12 oz cans, I can get a max of nine cans in there. My daughter and I played a game of "who can come up with the most creative way to get more cans in." The picture showing the cans stacked does not work, at least with U.S. standard cans (tried Coke, La Croix and Bubly cans)* The physical controls take a bit of practice. Setting the temperature and settings was not as clear as it should be (hint, by default, it will try to cool to -4F/-20C -- you will want to set it to something more reasonable... most likely)The description mentions 32F in 15 minutes. I'm unsure how they pulled that off. I got to 32F in about 45-50 minutes (plugged into the house current). Perhaps it depends on what you have in the cooler.For the most part, the cooler seems strong enough. Again, my concern is with that power plug. If that wall breaks, it wouldn't be an easy fix.Now, I live in Florida. However, no, I don't intend to take this to the beach. For me, it's really about getting things like Ice Cream home from the store, a real challenge in the summer. For that purpose, this fits the bill. I cool it down at home, then plug it in in the car (both my cars have a 12v connector in the back). I need space for the other groceries, so having this be small is a bonus. You just have to make sure it's able to vent and that it isn't heating your other groceries.

The good:It fits nicely in passenger foot wellIt’s whisper quietIt’s pretty lightThe door is sturdy and seals wellThe app is fast and accurateThe bad:It was listed as if it fits 24 0.33l cans, then they’ve changed it to just 12. But it just would not fit 12 cans like on the picture. Also, my 9 quart igloo cooler is way roomier than this “10 quart” freezer and I think the real capacity is closer to 8 or even 7qt. The dimensions are awkward and you can never fully utilize the volume. I have been able to fit 6 cans and 4 bottles.

This Mini Fridge / Freezer is perfect for smaller cars.The design is a bit more flat than tall which means you can't really fit in larger jugs upright you'd have to lay it down.There is a small sliver of spot on the top above the electronics that feels like wasted space but I'm glad they offer it to you regardless.The weight is manageable, there is some weight to the device and mainly on the left side so if you have the opening facing you and lift the fridge up you'll feel an uneven balance of weight for those that are right handed.The seal thats used is a styrofoam based and not rubber so over time this may fall apart as heat or age affects it.It comes with two adapters the home outlet only needing about 150W and a car adapter. I think this is great because you can pre-cool the fridge before moving it to the car to consume less resources overall. Also note there are safety measures as the plug for this has a dummy proof protection where its slotted. so don't lose the cable!There are buttons on the fridge that lets you adjust the temperature as well as a display that showcases what the temperature is at.In case you didn't notice there are also cup holders on top, this would only be useful for a picnic like situation. but then it refrains you from opening it. It would be nice if it offered a detachable latch. The hinge on the one I received was fairly wobbly so it didn't feel that sturdy but overall the build for everything else was great.There are strap down locations around the fridge to prevent it from moving in the car as well.My last issue I had was with the latch as there is a gap in it possible for it to pivot but they could've added a rubber cover or something to make it a little bit more solid.Other than that works great for what it is and love having it around in the car.
