These brackets work well. The only issue you might encounter is finding the right balance point on your skull. It would be best to use some clay or glue inside the skull to secure it in place. One thing that seemed odd to me is that they provide pan head screws for a tapered hole. When I inserted the first screw, it lifted the other end of the bracket. If I were the manufacturer, I would have included tapered screws instead of pan head screws. Even a sheetrock screw fits well. I was able to hang a 33-pound weight from it, and it only flexed slightly. I'm confident you could hang any European skull mount without worrying about strength. One picture shows a large javelina skull, and a mule deer skull.

The hooks function well. They came in a timely manner. They were easy to install. They held an 8 point mounted buck with no issue. I would recommend them to a friend. They are currently listed as $20.99. There are 12 in a pack which equals out to about $1.75 a piece. They are worth that for sure.I hope this helps.
