This thing will start to fall apart as you use it, but it's just because the screws on the sides come loose. You can retighten them no problem. Maybe some thread locker would fix it, but I haven't bothered with it beyond giving it a quick tighten whenever it needs it.

Made it half way around a baby quilt, doing the binding. Foot came off. Disappointment it was a slim foot like I wanted.

It does not fit Brother machines. It will fit on Singer. My friend has some odd brand machines and it does not fit them ether. The issue is with the open space for the needle not the pressure foot bar.
