I've had good experiences with Everest's products in the past, and this is no exception. If you are looking for a high-end modular patch panel with keystones, look elsewhere, but if you are looking for a great value, it's hard to do better than this. This is a patch panel with 24 Cat 6A ports for about the same price as you'd pay for 24 keystones alone. The panel only says Cat 6 on it, but Everest's support quickly confirmed that it's still rated for the 23 AWG wire of Cat 6A as well. Some assembly is required, but directions are included since it's not necessarily obvious how it should all fit together. I was able to fairly quickly assemble it. The backs of the jacks have handy color coded diagrams for wiring both 568A and 568B. Just make sure you have a compatible punchdown tool.

This patch panel has a couple nice bits to it, including the capability to run without one of the patch blocks in place, making it work for an odd use case. The description is spot on, and the odd use case will be to install it flush with the wall across a stud, which one of the patch bays would force this to not be flush. In this odd use case, one will simply be left out and a blank put across that space instead. Easy to access punch down locations make this a breeze to use over time when adding new connections, not needing to remove the panel or fiddle with keystones behind it, but pulling the sections out the front. If using in a more traditional manner, it includes rack mount nuts and the included cable support rack is ratcheting in nature, which makes it nice to use in one place, if not super re-usable over time as the plastic feels a little more brittle than expected. Overall, this seems like a good value.

I got this patch panel to replace a more traditional, one-piece panel on my network rack. The pop-out modules make swapping hardware much easier, since I can work on a single module without needing to remove the entire panel. I ran iperf3 and found that transfers were running at full 2.5gbe speed through the panel without issue. The panel fit the rack well and was easy to install. The two-color tags are a neat touch, allowing me to color-code the different modules (blue for servers, white for everything else). I like the reusable cable locks, too, which are easier and faster to use than traditional zip-ties. The rear support rack is actually a separate item, though, so the mounting ears stack with the ears on the panel, which causes the panel to sit a little forward of the rest of my equipment. It doesn’t effect anything functionally, it’s just worth noting if you’re concerned about aesthetics for some reason.

Worked perfectly! Love that the panel is separated into groups of 6-ports each (x4). This makes it so much easier to work with! The labeling and color coding on the back is clear and easy to identify where each wire pair connects.

The patch panel is good quality. It is easy to assemble. It fit the rack well. The front loading patch blocks make it easy to punch down from the front of the rack. The cable support standoff function well holding the cables tight. The punch blocks held each wire securely with one punch. The data speed is good. The connections maintained gigabit speed. The patch panel is a good value for the money.
