JG AK-Beta Spetsnaz Cycling Action Airsoft Shell Ejecting Airsoft Replica Rifle
The JG AK Beta Spetsnaz Collector's edition is a rifle designed for an alternative purpose. This rifle offers a complete different level of realism featuring realistic Airsoft Shell loading and Airsoft Shell ejecting action. Although this is not a high power war-gaming AEG rifle, it is definitely a great 1:1 scale replica for recreational collectors, film makers and back-yard gamers. Despite it's unbelievable price tag, the exterior finish and construction is on-par with the JG AEG game gun. The rifle is designed with robust construction and intended for longevity. The amount of fun we had with it, is the reason we decided to make this very unique model available to the Evike shoppers. Spare mags and Airsoft Shells are available.

I bought a couple of these for my son off Evike several years ago (I wanted to get him extra mags and the guns were selling for about 15 bucks at the time). So decent quality construction. Has a nice weight to it (though that’s mainly due to a couple metal slugs glued inside). The safety selector moves but just for show. Metal inner barrel, sights are fixed, sling points. Shoots pretty good all things considered. One bonus is it’ll shoot 6mm paint bb’s without breaking them. Those aren’t super common but I had some and they popped in the mags with everything else I tried.Shells are plastic with a rubber o-ring tip to hold the BB. Magazine only holds 6rds. On the instruction pamphlet they show an optional full-size mag that holds 12rds but I never found any evidence they actually existed for sale anywhere. Anyway shoots good so how about the shell ejecting? Yes, they do eject… BUT… and here’s a big detail: You cock the rifle by pulling the bolt back but being an AK design it’s not a very convenient grip and it’s quite difficult to actually cock it all the way. My kid loved the gun but couldn’t cycle it on his own. They basically went with performance over ease which I’m usually a fan of but in this case a weaker spring would likely improve the whole experience. That’s about it. Very hard to cock. Since it’s an AK you pretty much have to use your right hand btw. Orange tip is painted into the barrel, not removable, just fyi. I believe that there’s a hop-up. It’s weird: not a gaming level airsoft gun but certainly better than most cheap springers as far as quality and performance. I’d basically just make sure the prospective owner can lift like a gallon of milk up to their chest one handed. If they can swing that then they should be okay to use it. Otherwise it’s a drag. Oh and if you’re trying to charge it but aren’t strong enough you’reprobably going to scrape your knuckles on the receiver when it slips your grip. It’s a little weird but good value for the price.
