Didn't even get to use it as the battery didn't work - so lame. Get yourself a real telescope not an imaging one.

I bought scope in December of 2021 directly from Unistellar. Easy to assemble, missing manual, told it was online instead. Connectivity spotty, crashes at times, polar tracking very poor. Images were slightly smeared, but assumed it was me failing to collimate correctly, and was told that by the Unistellar help multiple times over four months after sending them multiple images of the “little birds” aberrations. Since my primary interest was deep sky objects, galaxies in particular, I put up with it until I read online there were problems with the mirror tension: focusing too tight against mirror after collimation. Unistellar finally agreed to have me send the scope out for repair, all the way to California from New Hampshire. A month later in the spring, the scope was returned and was greatly improved, stars round and clearer. This June, having used the scope on a humid night, I checked the mirror with a light to ascertain whether I needed to leave the cap on loosely to let it to let it dry, and was horrified to find the mirror both dirty with smears and lightly scratched. In contacting the Unistellar help, I got the usual reply that it was, in essence, my fault. I have never taken the mirror out. They did tell me how to clean it by washing it, the online info says just to use compressed air to do the same, which would be useless.Over all, I would hesitate to recommend the eVscope 2. There are other choices in this type of telescope that are better, especially for people who are unable to physically handle larger and heavier units, as am I after some 65 years of amateur astronomy. When it works correctly, the images are truly great to look at, and deep sky objects are so accessible, so much better than my old 10”f5.6 home built Dobsonian. But given the software glitches, range of wifi, and attitude of Unistellar, I cannot recommend the eVscope2.

I’ve never had so much fun with the telescope! This equipment is not only easy to use… It’s fun to use. The user interface is simple as well as intuitive. Set up and orientation only takes about 10 minutes. The rest of my time is spent ACTUALLY observing deep space objects. This is simply one of the best educational and entertainment purchases I’ve made in my entire life.

I bought this specifically so that I would watch the deep space objects really surpass that what I can see in my large optical telescopes. This promised to deliver. I found two things 1) The eyepiece doesn't work. One owner told me that sometimes the eyepiece will work and sometimes it won't and sometimes it requires a reboot of the scope. He's had his for a year now and primarily skips the eyepiece and just uses his phone. 2) The images in the ads for this scope really don't happen nearly as quickly as you'd think. This boasts huge light gathering power but to get an image any brighter than my Celestron 11" SCT would take 2 hours of this scope stacking images internally. That's a long time to wait and the images aren't as sharp as seen through the optical counterparts. I bought this for its size and weight and powerful light gathering ability and an eyepiece that my wife demanded so she could look directly through the scope. Is is a VERY expensive scope. Very disappointed and nothing from Unistellar after 2 emails. I only heard from them after posting this on FB - it's going back to them. Used only 1x to see if it worked. Unistellar tried to get me to exchange this since they said the eyepiece was defective. But more issues as noted than the eyepiece. They told me there were a number of imaging adjustments that could be made but their manual mentions nothing of any of those adjustments, just the very basics and it is imperative to orient the scope to the night sky or it won't work...totally omitted from their simple manual. All original equipment and tools, information, manual that came with this are being returned exactly as received. I will give it a plus in the ease of setup and the goto and tracking capability, their strong suit. Perhaps in several years when they've got the bugs out of these wonder scopes I'll try another. Right now it's definitely not worthy of the high price point asked.

I purchased this telescope with the backpack. Initially it worked but then it didn't. The goto function didn't work. I read the manual and finally re-installed the app and then got it to work for one night. At the end of my observations I enabled the parking function which is supposed to return the scope to the zenith and turn it off. The parking function made the scope rotate down to the base and keep trying to rotate where I was forced to push to on/off button to turn the telescope off. I manually rotated the scope back up to vertical and turned it off.Since then the telescope has not rotated up or down in respond to the app. The parking function doesn't even respond. The telescope is not functional. I am forced to send it back for a warranty refund.I would definitely not recommend this expensive telescope. I hope no one makes the mistake I made in purchasing it.
