Replaced my MA-ND3 with this. I’m pretty sure it look me, at the most, 8 minutes to take my old one off and install this one.Another review said a HVAC guy quoted him about $3k for this repair.I highly recommend this valve

HVAC guy comes out and says 1 of my 3 dampeners is out. $621 to replace including the part, not counting the $79 diagnostic fee. I ask how much is the part and he says his office only gives a bundled price. He also said he had to go back up to measure it??? There is NOTHING to measure - the motor is out but the dampener still manually twists...So I climb back up there, take a picture and find out it's a EWC MA-ND5. I find a YouTube video that shows it's about 5 minutes to replace. How they come up with $621 is beyond me but I wasn't buying. I order this replacement not really sure which model is coming because the description doesn't say, but it was a MA-ND5 - exact replacement and showed up the next day.I killed power, loosened 3 nuts, undid 3 wires and then pulled the old unit and replaced with the new and flipped the breakers back on. Works like a champ and the lights now function.I don't mind paying for diagnostics but hate when people try to take advantage. This part functions great and is extremely easy to replace - 15 minutes including killing power, climbing up and down ladders, waiting for thermostat communication to verify, etc. You can do this!!
