This connector definitely makes a solid connection when plugged in. It's pretty stiff when new, but that is ok. I'm not a huge fan of how wire is attached to this thing, but after soldering it, running some heatshrink around each wire and looming the wires it seems secure enough. I wouldn't want to be unplugging this over and over everyday or anything. I used this in an application that will only be disconnected rarely and that made me feel a little better about the whole thing.

This 4-pin connector seems to be a very high-quality weatherproof connector. The plug and the socket fit together very well and make a very secure connection. Both the plug and socket feature solder tabs and the plug features weatherproof o-rings to keep dust and fluids out of the connection when the plug is plugged into the socket. The plug features a cable gland that seems to work for a wide range of cord diameters and the socket features a cover to keep dust and fluids off of the socket when when the socket is not in use.Overall, this 4-pin connector set seems to be a high-quality set that will work in many commercial applications.
