Love it but after three days the screen went blank and didn't feed them this morning iv had too feed them myself this is for a holiday coming up so has been set up prior too ensure they get fed while away iv had too take the battery's out and reset it

I was going to gone for 10 days and did not want to burden anyone to take care of my turtle. I only feed her once a day, so I set all four time slots for the same time, and it worked flawlessly. I made sure it worked several days before leaving, and when I got back from my trip it was still working. Wanted to see how long the batteries would last, and It's been over 20 days since I powered it on, and still has a full battery. Dispenses a good amount a food, and I know I can count on it.

My feeder lasted about a year before it started malfunctioning and stopped feeding. Luckily I noticed before anything bad happened to my turtle. The clicker to release the food really needed to be toyed with in order to get the right amount of pellets out. Programming the timer was kind of a pain too. It has 4 settings and I only feed once a day, so I programmed all the times the same. Overall it worked well for that year.

Not worth it. The product lasted only a month before it spoiled. I wouldn't recommend it.

Works great, we went on vacation for about 8 days. When we got back turtles, fishes still alive and the feeder still had some food in it.

After a month of usage this turned out to be OK. Advertised as being able to feed up to four times a day -- but initally seems it should read "feeds EXACTLY four times a day".Instructions do not mention how to turn off any single feeding. They mention a 0:00 time for unset feedings, but I have never seen that time available, and it came preset with feedings at 12:00, 3:00, 6:00, and 9:00.I set all feed times to the same time, which ends up skipping the duplicate time feedings, so I get my desired single feeding.We had an Eheim feeder previously, which sadly fell into the tank prompting this replacement.The balance on this seems better than our old Eheim feeder (Exo Terra has all the weight on the outside of the tank), but the Eheim had a friendlier interface and offered more programmable features.

I had tried the Eheim before but wasn't complete secure with how it mounted with my tank set up. These units simply don't work for me. I purchased 2 because I was going to be away for an extended period. Unfortunately it's easy to get the feeder part on incorrectly so that when it turns it doesn't turn far enough around that any food comes out. I messed around with if for a long time to get it set up but I must have gotten something wrong. Luckily my neighbor stopped in to feed her while I was away. After 10 days the feeders were full. 2 stars instead of 1 because I'm sure there was user error involved.

This item is just too convenient but maybe also a bit complicated setting up (by using the manual!) The feeder is automatic and has manual capabilities so you don't really have to be tied down to only whatever feeding time you programmed.So, lets say you feel like giving your turtle an extra feeding you just have to press "feed" and it will automatically rotate the tank feeding the prescribed proportions.The other thing is, is that the feeding proportion setting is really good with its adjustable capabilities. The only horrible thing is the manual! I will personally never look for anything I query about the feeder in the manual it comes with because its most likely wrong. Reason why: The feeder can do "up to" four feedings and I wanted only one feeding so I looked at the manual to learn how to cancel off feeding two,three & four feeding times so it told me to hold set until the feeding time read " 00:00 " but that never happened so what I did was called them and they told me it was defective if it did not do that - I know right, there suppose to know better , so I got a replacement once I returned my item.When I got the replacement the same thing happened and what I did was read some reviews and learnt a secret which I'll share with you since i'm sure you're probably having the same problem if you don't want to set all four feedings.You simply have to put all the feeding times as the same for feeding one , two , three & four. And if you have two feeding put feeding one the same as feeding three and feeding two the same as feeding four and so on for three feedings and for three feedings , feeding one at a unique time , feeding two at a unique time , feeding three's time should be the same as feeding's four time. And the obvious, for four feedings, all times must be different. Hope you guys was helped out after reading this if you all too we're in this same predicament.

Works well for larger fish who get fed pellets (koi and goldfish). Easy to setup for testing, but due to design of food control, after I was satisfied with testing, went to refill the reservoir, and "lost" my setting because the setting control is integrated into the food fill cover. It is not stated anywhere, but like similar fish feeders, there is also a place to add an air hose to presumably keep the food dry, but I did not try that. Used it for 3 weeks and it seemed to reliably meter out food (in spite of the difficulty with the initial slot setting).

using it to feed one turtle when we're traveling - ran it for about 2 weeks just to make sure it worked before we left. worked as advertised.Pros: large canister should cover more than a week for one large turtle; can be programmed with up to 4 feeding timesCons: minor point - when you remove canister to refill, you have to reset the opening that sets how many pellets come out at each feeding. Just have to remember to check where it was last set before you remove the canister. Also was a little more expensive than the competitor's brand, but worth it in the end.I had previously bought at Eheim feeder - most of their products get good reviews, but I got a lemon with that feeder. It skipped feedings sometimes, and then while we were on vacation, it dumped the entire drum all at once - came back to a tank full of brown soup that stunk up the whole house. After that experience, the first thing I did was to run the new feeder into a cardboard box for a week just to verify that it worked properly, before putting it on the turtle tank. this also helps you verify how much food is coming out across multiple feedings for a whole day - so you can further adjust the amount of pellets released per feeding.

I tried to use this for my aquatic turtles but too much food comes out, no matter what I did. It was so hard to use and figure out too, I just ended up returning it. Don't waste your money. MIght work better with bigger food. Mine were small round pellets for baby painted turtles.
