These pre-cut tissues made for easy confetti egg finishing. Normally, I have to cut out circles or squares with a pair of scissors and a thick stack of tissue paper, which hurts my hands. These pre-cut octagons not only saved me the pain of cutting out the toppers, but looked much better. This saved me time, also. The kids had a great time making confetti eggs and the results were beautiful.Confetti eggs = confetti-filled egg shells to crack on each other's heads on Easter. This is a Mexican and Italian tradition. We hide confetti eggs instead of boiled eggs. To make them, we save egg shells all year. When we make scrambled eggs or cakes, we tap and crack the top of the egg, and peel away about an inch to an inch of a half of the top of the egg shell and dump out the egg from the shell. We rinse out the egg shells and save these for Easter time. Then the kids dye the egg shells, let them dry them overnight, then fill them half way full with confetti. We glue a circle or octagon of tissue paper over the hole in the egg shell and let dry overnight. On Easter morning, the adults hide the eggs but keep a carton of confetti eggs for themselves. The kids then find the hidden confetti eggs. After all the eggs are found, we chase each other and crack the confetti eggs on each other's heads.

Just so you know... if you plan on using this to color paper or canvas it does not work. It can only be used as tissue paper glued to something. I learned this the hard way and wasted a bunch.

Because it was a small cut, I do have to say it was a pain to separate them. They way they were cut made it hard for the paper to come apart so a lot of the edges ripped. Nice vibrant colors though.

My kids play with the blinds in our apartment so i keep them open and to give them some privacy i cover the windows with the little papers using some mod podge. It gives a kind of stained glass look. When its dry it comes of like a sticker.
