Keep to the description of using this for a Great Dane. Even though it also says for large dogs, and lists other breeds, it would have to be an extremely large dog. It does list German Shepherd in the title, but this isn't going to fit a standard sized Shepherd. It is far too large.I can't review any further than this as it does not properly fit my dog and I can not use it.I did give it 4 stars because I believe the construction and materials are great and would hold up well. It seems very sturdy and durable.

Bought it for my friends’ dog. It’s sturdy of course in terms of functionality and the surface is smooth enough to keep the dog’s skin safe. Spacious form allows to breath freely and stainless still material looks great and easy to clean up.

For my German shepherd, this muzzle required some modifications.This is a very nicely made basket muzzle with ample pant room for a lot of L and XL breeds. I have a 95lb German shepherd and I got this to hopefully find a new suitable adventure muzzle. The basket is made of wire(similar gauge to a 3mm herm Sprenger prong collar) and seems very secure. The basket is semi "moldable" if you are strong enough(asked hubby for help). We bent the top bridge to be slightly more narrow for my shepherds snout, while making sure the cheeks stayed wide enough not to dig in. As is, the muzzle moved around a lot on my dog's face. To help this, I took the collar loop out of the bottom fastener which holds the strap to the bottom of the muzzle, which allowed the collar to sit against his neck rather than holding the basket to his neck underneath. I also added an under chin strap(using the excess neck length) which keeps the bridge of the muzzle on top of his snout, especially when he looks downward. Without the under strap, if your dog is to tilt his head down, he can move his snout around the entire basket, which we obviously don't want. The design is a bit off for out-of-package functionality, hence the 3 star rating. I could not have used this muzzle without the modifications I made. This muzzle is specifically marketed towards Great Danes and other mastiff breeds, and I cannot attest to how it would fit one of those dog breeds. The muzzle itself is well made with good materials. The padded nose area seems very comfortable without adding much weight. With some perfecting to the design, this would be the perfect muzzle.

I took off a star as the size I ordered says it's for rottweilers, I have a pretty good size rottweiler (over 120lbs) and the muzzle I got was too big. It would be fantastic for a mastiff I think. The quality is top notch, very heavy duty and well made. The strap going over the muzzle is padded for comfort and to keep the metal off the dogs muzzle which is nice. The straps are solid, I wouldn't worry about my dog pulling this off if it fit him. It's easy to put on and take off. The price is good for the quality you're getting, just be sure to pick the correct size, I wish I had taken the time to measure before ordering rather than just going off the suggested size.

I have a very fit 115 pound long haired Dutch Shepherd. I think hes part wolf but anywho, we need to muzzle him for vet visits, just to be safer than sorry. I've tried numerous ones and hes been able to get out of all of them, except for this one. Build quality is very good but it does seem a bit big for him, height wise. Also, the comfort pad is very close to his eyes. As long as he can't get it off to make it through a vet visit, I'm good with it lol.

Fit my cane corso well, however he removed it in about 10 seconds.
