Very Happy with these bowl covers. These have great elastic edge. Stretch to larger width. Fit some of my bigger bowls. They stretch nicely with yeasty doughs. I use little pan spray so non-stick before placing over dough. Also worked well with banneton baskets in fridge overnight to protect from other fridge odors. Don’t like to promote plastic use but sometimes it is just better option. And these are reusable if you’re like me and don’t mind hand washing. If using for cottage baking business, I think these would be great for all types of goods. Also convenient for cookouts and picnics to keep insects away and more sanitary. Recommend.

Extra Thick Full Clear 100 Plastic Bowl Covers for Banneton Bread Proofing Basket Fits up to 12" Shower Caps Sourdough Bread Baking Supplies Sourdough starter kit Plastic Wrap for Food Proofing Cover. This is so convenient that it comes in a box for easy storage and dispensing. Thus far seem to be more durable than some I have gotten in the past, doesn't tear apart at the elastic. Like the large generous size of these.

I've been baking bread almost weekly for about 7 years and as my baking has evolved I've tried different proofing vessels with varying results. I used a no-knead recipe so proofing takes 12-18 hours and although I always cover the proofing vessel, I prefer to allow some air to circulate, that is, nothing that is air tight. The FayLongSky Extra Thick Full Clear Plastic Bowl Covers work great for proofing. They securely fit most bowl sizes I've used, for both bread and pizza dough, as the elastic edges stretch just enough, and the plastic makes sort of a bubble on top allowing the dough to breathe. The downside is that I'm adding plastic to the environment, something I really hate doing, so I'm re-using these covers as often as possible. At some point, it might be nice to have these made using biodegradeable material rather than plastic, but for now, I'm real happy with the quality and my dough seems to like them as well,

These are so much easier to use than stretch wrap! I bake a lot of bread and having these covers available is super convenient - I can just pop one over the proofing bowl and then toss it when I'm done. They are a good size for the medium bowls I use, and they are a great value for the quantity and quality of the covers.

I wanted to try these out for my sourdough bread making. These covers work perfectly for my needs. I love that it makes things so much more convenient for me. Prior to this I woud use plastic wrap when proof but really disliked how easily it would fall off unless I wrapped it several times around my banneton basket. This box comes with 100 so I love that we can just use and toss them after. It's a simple and functional bowl cover.

I make a lot of sour dough bread, which requires covering the bowls as you're making the dough as well as covering the bannetons after the dough has been shaped and is proofing before baking. I hate using plastic wrap not only because it's more or less a one-use plastic, but also because it often doesn't really stay in place. So, I ordered these "shower cap" covers. These are generously sized--they easily fit over my largest bowl, which measures 11.5" in diameter at the rim, and I suspect could fit a 12" diameter bowl. The elastic has enough stretch that it will also stay securely on my bannetons, which are a good bit smaller, about 8" in diameter. The listing for these say that they are extra thick. I would say that they aren't as thick as the typical disposable shower caps you used to find in hotel rooms; they feel about as thick as typical supermarket produce bags, and not as thick as typical trash bags. However, I think with care these could easily be used multiple times, which is my intention.

These are perfect for easily covering food in bowls or casserole dishes to store in the fridge, to keep dust out on the counter, or for letting bread dough rise. They are basically a round of plastic wrap with an elastic edge, so they are single use (or at most a few clean and dry uses). But oh so handy! They fit on every mixing bowl I own and even on all but my very largest stock pot. It is important to me that the box is labelled "food safe" and it is. Recommended.

I've been making sourdough bread almost a year now and bowl covers are a necessity. I've tried several and have used plain clingwrap as well and this by far is my favorite bowl cover. I primarily use my 5qt ss mixing bowl and my other caps tear at the seams and barely hang on. Clingwrap works, but only if it sticks to itself and often requires two sheets. The other bowl covers are breathable--good if I need them as a liner, but otherwise let in too much air and dry the dough out. These covers though! They don't split at the seams--I even have a bit hanging down the sides I could probably use these on my 8qt bowl or my square sous vide container. It's plastic, so it won't dry your dough completely out.I wouldn't say toss your current bowl covers--those are still good for your banneton and as shower caps on trips, but if you bake in bulk or need to cover a large tray this is a must add to your cabinet.
