Extreme Max's Dock Bracket Kits are designed to aid in a number of dock assemblies and configurations! Use it when connecting a T-section or an L-section at the end of your dock, reinforcing a dock corner, or in the construction of a new dock section. Each component offers 5" square faces to cover a large surface area with four pre-drilled mounting holes on each face for ease of positioning and alignment. The heavy-duty steel construction provides exceptional strength in any configuration, while the galvanized finish protects against rust and other damage in freshwater marine environments. Each kit includes two corner brackets and four backer plates. Due to the variety of surfaces to which the brackets may be applied, mounting hardware is not included.

The holes punched in this would maybe fit 1/4 inch carriage bolts, which would be OK if the dock made for squirrels. I needed to drill them out to work with standard 3/8 hardware, which then negates the purpose of them being square.

Buyer beware... These plates and brackets do not accept standard 3/8" galvanized hardware. All holes are too small for both the 3/8" shank and the square holes are too small to trap the head of a carriage bolt.Very disappointing as they required lengthy modifications to work as intended.
