A real must for needlepointers on the go. You just stitch and zip, and you’re through. Everything is included. No stretching into place or finishing is needed. Great for cell phone cases as well as eyeglasses cases. For those like myself, who do not have time, to do larger pieces, you can take it with you wherever you go. Great for waiting rooms, when you have a long wait. Google the words, Stitch and Zips by Alice Peterson and you will find that the parrot isn’t the only one available. They have so many beautiful designs to choose from. I give the Alice Peterson Stitch and Zips two thumbs up.

This is slightly more advanced than their other kits only because of the exposed top row. You work over it and you use the stitches to bind the folded sides down. It’s not hard, just another piece of complexity.It comes with a single needle and no threader. It comes with their standard directions, which are generally excellent but it would have been nice to have that top row diagrammed as comprehensively as the rest, especially as that’s unique to this project. I would suggest run the tails from the top down a bit to hide them. That wasn’t in the directions, but worked well for me.The workmanship is excellent as always with this brand. No issues at all. The stamping is clear and precise, no ambiguity as to what floss to use where. The floss is ample and aside from two skeins, precut. I had no problem retwisting the skein after removing each floss.I love how they design functional kits with needlepoint. And they all, this one included, function perfectly well once completed.

This item was really fun to sew, and it turned out, absolutely beautiful. I added beads to it and gifted it to a friend and she loves it. You don’t have to add beads to it though it’s beautiful without them.

I enjoy doing a lot of these small needlepoint projects and I have found that this brand is the best available- great color, quality materials, designs are awesome and shipping is super fast.
