Adhesion is not as good, but it does protect.

Put these on a low-profile 2008 Shelby. They look pretty good and should really help protect the paint!

Very durable. Sticks to car . However after about 6 months you will need a new one due to weather and dirt traction can cause the adhesive to wear . Barely noticeable on car blends into lower bumper and fits snug . Keeps car natural look .

The universal guard was made of high-quality material. The adhesive was adequate as long as you prep the surface beforehand. I recommend using Simple Green, followed by rubbing alcohol. Also, depending on the climate, a blow-dryer works great to heat the surface, making it adhere much better to the vehicle. However, this item is exceptionally overpriced and should sell for much less.

… but I did not. Even using heat to apply it to my 2021 Honda Insight front bumper the adhesive did not hold. It seemed to hold at first but it didn’t . I applied with heat. Didn’t drive the car for 2 days days. Drove it 14 miles to work and the adhesive began to fail in several places sometime that day. I began to peal it off and all the remaining places that held began to let go very easily. That’s sad because the product looked very nice after application. It would have been difficult to tell it was not a factory part.

After paying over $100 for door edge guards on my last car that looked like someone took a piece of scotch tape and sloppily stuck it to my door with all sorts of bubbles and loose bits, this seemed like a far better option. It's stupidly easy to install and cut, and looks much cleaner than the dealer installed door guards. It literally just pushes into place and lies perfectly flush. Not to mention it's more substantial in terms of protection than the sad tape job from the dealership. Price point is perfect, very durable, stays in place, and looks great--meaning it blends in perfectly and is barely noticeable. Well worth it! Don't bother getting door edge guards from a dealer. At least with my old car, I could just have easily used some packing tape and saved the $120 for the sloppy job they did.

Product was easy to apply and seems to have very strong adhesive. I am on the road a lot for work and it has already saved me in a few parking lots so far. I'm glad to have a little more protection at a value price. It has a sleek, clean added look as well. No negatives so far, will update if I find any.
