I bought this for my daughter and was disappointed in the overall quality of this set. I have purchased other Faber Castell color by number kits and they were nicer quality than this. I thought there were 2 separate posters to color but it is double-sided. There are only 6 water color pencils and a cheap pencil sharpener. You also get a magnetic wood poster holder. The poster is plain paperboard.

The paint pencils are a fun and new way to paint. My granddaughter is a wonderful artist. She was eager to try this new utensil. The pencils are easy to use and to sharpen. They produce a nice color. When water is added, the color looks even better. The paint by numbers is a classic past time so I was excited for her to try it. My only complaint is that the page is double sided. Which puts a halt to the activity because you cannot paint the other side until the reverse side as dried. Overall, it is a fun activity. The pencils can be used on other paper so the creativity doesn’t end here.

The quality of this project was fine and it's a cute little paint by number kit.I like that it came with the supplies to hang it when you're done.My only complaint is that it's one double sided poster instead of two posters which isn't at all obvious from the listing. I was bummed because my son and I were going to work on them together, but obviously you can't paint both sides at once. It's also kind of silly because it comes with the stuff to hang it, but you'll only ever see one side if you do.

This was a great rainy day project for my kiddo. We had never used watercolor pencils and let me tell you they are much easier to use and cleanup than regular watercolors. First you simply color the general area on the picture with the colored pencils. Then you wet the included paint brush with water and paint over your pencil drawings and spread the paint around. The result looks great and there is minimal cleanup. It comes with a little magnetic wood frame to hold the art up too. My only real disappointment with this kit is that it only comes with one sheet to paint on. There is plenty of pencil left after one page, why not include a few more sheets so you can showcase more artwork? Overall this kit is good quality and will keep you or your kiddo busy.

The quality of the aquarella pencils and heavy grade paper can be credit of what is expected from the Faber Castell products - which I love. But when I got this to make this review I did not look to the description of the product. I went by the picture of the box.So I was upset when I saw that there is only 2 pictures to be painted, in 1 piece of paper. So ready fully (and see my pics) about the contents inside the box. The description is correct and honest.Regarding the appropriate age of this activity. My 5 years old chose to paint on the page that has the numbers (as guides) and not the actual page to be painted. He was not ready to see the numbers in one page and paint the other. And this is okay! Also for a preschool age kid this activity can be done during many days, not at once like with older kids.I recommend.

This is alright. Harder than I was expecting. If you want a project to take awhile and require guidance for younger kids this works. It comes with everything you need.

This craft is interesting, as it uses watercolor pencils. You shade in the colors, then dip a wet paintbrush in it to spread the colors. It's an interesting alternative to actual watercolors. I did feel you could get a more precise application with this technique. The fairy design is cute and should be popular with a lot of kids. However, do note that it's not 2 *separate* posters, but 1 sheet that has a print on each side.I also like that this kid comes with a wooden hanger so that this can be displayed right away.

It's spring break which means lots of time on our hands and a lot of craft projects that require a lot of hands-on from me to complete. I pulled this out when I needed a break to get something else done and it was the perfect thing for my 7 year old to mostly complete by herself. After I reminded her that she could get different results by coloring either light or hard, she completed one side of the poster by herself. I came back to get her started with the watercolor bit and then she finished the rest on her own as well! The results is quite nice and I love that there's hanging equipment included! My main complaint - I really wish there was more than one double-sided poster. This would be great for a playdate activity if it just came with another sheet or two.
