I purchased these ignition coils for my 2005 chevy trailblazer. When I installed them I got a PO306 code. Swapped out the coil onto number 5 cylinder and got a PO305 code. Which told me that the coil installed in number 6 cylinder originally was bad. After contacting Amazon, Amazon order me a new set of coils for which a was able to take out a new coil and returned the reordered coils along with the bad coil. Amazon came through for me.

The coils were pretty simple to install. They seem to be working, but my engine light is still on... so....

Amazon stated it would not fit my 2012 4.8 Silverado but visually it's the same as the eight coil packs on the truck and the 4.8 shares many parts as an LS 5.3. It took one 10 MM socket and five minutes to swap. Happy to say it worked and no more misfire. The hardest part was keeping an eye on my 10 MM because those things run off like wild dogs.

I had one coil that was weak so I ordered this one to replace it. The coil was the correct one and packaged well. It looked well built. Of course, the one that I had to replace was the hardest one to get to. After spending over an hour just to get to and replace the coil, when I started the car, it immediately through a code for shorted primary coil. I really wish I had hooked this up before going to the trouble to remove the old one and mount this one. I put the old coil back on and the code cleared. Definitely a bad new coil. So, I don't believe the statements in the ad about how they test them. My guess is you get the luck of the draw. I did not reach out to the seller or Amazon as I don't want to go to the trouble right now to remove it and when I do, I will likely throw it as far as I can.

I had a misfire on cylinder 6, replaced the plug and it was still missing so I replaced the wires, same deal then I replaced this coil and the V8 runs smooth as silk.
