Faithfull FAINAILPULL Nail Puller 600mm (24in). The Faithfull nail puller is the perfect tool for removing nails from most materials, lifting floorboards, opening wooden crates and dismantling wooden structures. This specialist tool can even extract nail heads recessed below surface level and features a malleable cast iron slide handle with a hinged, drop-forged gripping jaw fixed to a box joint for extra strength. The tool is used by positioning the jaws on either side of the nail head before slamming down the slide handle to drive the jaws into the timber and under the nail head. The handle is then levered forwards using the base heel as a leverage point to keep the jaws tight whilst extracting the nail.

Retaining pin that stops the slide hammer from falling off the end has fallen off and now the slide hammer falls off the end

I bought this to pull up part of a chipboard floor. I found the best technique is to chip a bit of wood away next to the nail head (3-4mm deep with a 1/4 inch chisel) and that allows the puller to get under the nail head with just one tap. After a few the technique is perfected and I've pulled my first 50 nails up in less than an hour. The next load will probably go a bit faster. The nails take quite a tug (70mm ring nails) to get them started but perfectly doable. All but one came out with no damage to the board. Just need to be careful with nails really close to the T&G. I always make sure I pull in the direction away from the join and that seems to work better. Very pleased, it would be a very different experience without the puller.

It’s design is unique. Doesn’t gouge up the wood, especially if the board will be used again.

Yes it makes it easier to pull nails or screws out and be able to reuse the plywood or sheetrock

I didn’t like that the area where the hammer impacts the head of the tool broke off.

This tool is great for not damaging the wood too much. It takes a little getting used to operating the jaw but that comes with a little practice.

Tool come bend. Have no clue how one can do that to cast iron and what quality control those people have. Worst part is that to ship it back to UK cost almost $300 USD. Which they will refund max to $20 USD.

Pour arracher des clous sur une porte et sur des palettes fonctionne très bien et en plus c'est du Cousteau sur des gros clous dans des blocs de bois parfait !

I purchased this tool rather than the Crescent tool of similar style since it was reported to be of better quality. After several days of intermittent use pulling nails from reclaimed lumber, the top handle snapped. It appears to have been a bad casting.
