My son needed this to wear for a few minutes for a presentation about Leonardo da Vinci. The beard did its job, although it was quite uncomfortable and itchy. I think I picked one of the cheaper beards on Amazon because I knew we would not need to wear it for very long and for the price it was fine.

While it’s a cute little disguise. It is cheaply made and not worth $10. The elastic was too big to fit anyone in our house without altering. It does shed.

This gray fake beard looks OK. It would be fine for the 100th day of school, etc. It is just a shaped piece of fake fur fabric with some elastic sewn to the side burn areas, so $10 seems a little expensive. I’m not sure if you can buy this small amount of this type of fabric and make it yourself for less. However, it is pretty comfortable. The elastic is held by your ears, and it sits in place pretty well. I trimmed the mustache because it was hanging over the mouth area, no problem. I’m not sure how durable it is, especially around the mouth area.
