Is this realistic? no. Did I expect it to be? no. It's a a silly costume item. I am an adult and might use it for some drag costume when I want to be silly. It's better for a young child Halloween costume. I like to have variety in my costume accessories.

Overall I like this fake beard. It has a lot of hair on it and covers the face well. I do find it be kind of itchy on the face. I am not sure if it is because of the material it is made out of. The string band is also noticeably visible so you can see it going across your face. I am also not sure exactly how durable the string band is to stay attached to the beard. It seems to be holding together well so far but it looks like it is thinly attached so it could end up being a problem at some point down the line. I have been mainly using it to film videos as a disguise and from the front angle, the string band going across the face has not been visible, so it has been good for that purpose.

I got this for my son's school costume party, and it fits him great and looks hilarious!He said it was comfortable on his face but he didn't like the way the fuzzy hair sometimes got in his mouth when he was talking, so I'll probably trim it or brush it back a little at the mouth opening so it's more comfortable for him. He loved how it looked though, and the family all thought it was very funny and cute on him.I think it could work for a grown-up as well, but it works well as a long beard for an elementary schooler!

I ordered this for my husband's grandchildren. They love his big, bushy, gray beard. I thought it would be cute to let them dress up as Poppa. This is basically a piece of grey fun fur with and elastic band. It does look kind of like a shaggy beard and they had a blast with it. It is really easy ot put on and remove. It just feel that it isn't a great value for what you get. But, it does work and it is a silly dress-up item.

This fake beard will work well for my son's explorer costume for school. It is durable enough and looks great. Recommend, I hope that this helps.
