The fabric is mid-weight and sturdy. I am short and round and this fit me perfectly. Even the ties were long enough. I was pleasantly surprised when it arrived. You know when you challenge the claim "ONE SIZE FITS ALL" you tend to be a little reluctant to order something like this online! Lol. No regrets as it is made of good quality material and it fits!! I might need to order a couple more in different colors.
