This keepsake is really a lovely piece. The pictures show a family of hands but you could layer other things as you choose. I love that they include acrylic paint as opposed to ink that comes in most kits of this type. My advice would be to make sure you understand how all the parts fit together before you start. You can wash the acrylic paint off the clear plates if you need to redo although I wouldn't start with that in mind and the plates can be taken out and reinserted if need be. The actual frame is good quality and looks attractive.

Packaging is terrible. I was actually surprised that nothing broke. All the accessories are jitsu all over the place insider the cheap thin box packaging that's meant for clothes.

I was hoping that this would be big enough to hold an 8x10 picture. Sadly it does not. When I measured the frame it was around 6.5x9.5 on the inside. It's still a nice frame and I love that the "glass" pieces are separate. there are four different glass pieces which means a family of four each gets their own piece for their hand print. I'm honestly hoping that through the years I can update my child's print on their piece of glass to show how much they grew each year. I'm hoping that I can just put their updated hand print (with a new color each year) over their old one and it will show how much their hand grew each year. This comes with everything you will need. The frame is nice quality. I would honestly call this more of a thin shadow box than a frame. This is a great idea and would make a great gift for someone - either a new parent or as a gift for a family member.

I like the concept of this hand print photo frame. I’m making one as a Father’s day gift for my husband. He likes DIY stuff. This has four plastic slots for hand prints which is good for our family of 4. I like that it came with its own paint brush and paint. Instructions are easy to follow. You can put pictures on the other side of the frame. This is made of quality materials and doesn’t look cheap. I would use a sharpie than the whiteboard marker it came with as I prefer a permanent marker. I’ll let my boys design it however they want. Definitely a great gift for anyone special.

It was boxed well enough but the slots at the top were all broken so the plates can't slide in. We had a different type of these before and really like it as a gift idea but this one will not be able to work as it is. We can glue the pieces back together but I wouldn't want to gift this to anyone else.

If you’re doing this with a baby or pet, you should not use the bathroom included paint. I didn’t look closely and did not realize the paint included was acrylic. This is difficult to get off, my son had it under his fingernails and scrubbing it out was unpleasant. The finished result is cute, I wish there was a guideline or grid on the removable protectors so that all of the handprints can be properly centered.
