I got this because my ram x mount was too small after upgrading my phone. Instead of shelling out $40 for a new larger ram x mount, I went with this. It it with my iPhone 16 pro max, but only just barely. I have a pretty thin case on my phone (Spigen tough armor). If the case was any thicker, the phone wouldn’t clear the top spring loaded latch. So it requires a little finesse to attach the phone.Quality is amazing, love the machined aluminum. Seems way sturdier than my old ram, I like the peace of mind that my phone is so securely anchored to my motorcycle. Very happy with purchase.

Trying to find a good phone holder for a sport bike/mountain bike is hit and miss. The problem I kept running into was the phone would work it's way loose from the vibration. Between that and the mount not staying in the fixed position you choose are two things that are hard to avoid. This was the exception, it fit both my iPhone (work) and Samsung (personal), but more importantly it didn't budge. Worth getting, especially if you're swapping between bikes.

I absolutely love this for my Kawasaki ninja 400. It is easy to secure and it isn’t in the way of view of the speedometer. It has great shock absorption and it feels indestructible. Fits my iPhone 15 plus.

Very secure holder for iPhone 16 Pro MAX , but only with a slim (or no) case.Mounted the holder (via a short FANAUE arm & RAM Ball Base Bolt) to the windshield bracket of a Jeep Wrangler YJ.. The spring loaded arm is strong enough to hold the phone even without tightening the thumb screw but it only takes a quarter-turn to lock/unlock so I usually tighten it down. Initially tested the holder with Smartish’s ‘Gripzilla‘ case for the iPhone 16 Pro MAX but it was a little too tall for this holder so switched to Smartish’’s slimmer ‘Gripmunk’ case & the system works great. Wouldn’t hesitate to drive hard, or 4x4, with the phone in this holder.

I bought this to replace my RAM X-grip mount which I have used for years. I was tired of having to use two hands when taking the phone out of the mount or placing it in the mount. It is especially annoying as I drive a 6-speed Jeep TJ. This mount, while marketed towards motorcycles, works wonderfully in a Wrangler. The vibration dampening feature is very effective and it’s now much easier to follow the GPS when my phone isn’t vibrating. For reference, I use this to hold an iphone 16 Pro max mounted to my passenger grab bar. If you have a device that is any larger, it may not fit, or at least be cumbersome to use. One user noted that the knob used to lock the phone down rattled out. In my application, the feature is not desired as the spring tension is more than sufficient and I immediately removed the piece. However, I added blue loctite to the other screws for additional insurance. Had the other reviewer done so, they would likely still have their knob. I also added oil to the two shafts of the spring mechanism. All in all, it is an exceptional value and delivers on all the promises. It is easy to set up, sturdy, easy to manipulate with one hand, and absorbs the shock of a bumpy road very well. I highly recommend.

Let me start out by saying I love this product. And I really wish my phone in case would have fit in this holder. It's got a beautiful matte gray finish. It is all solid aluminum. It is very heavy duty. There is nothing cheap or flimsy feeling about anything on this holder. I have seen crappy plastic phone holders that are just as much as this product. I love that there are multiple attachments that you can buy to fit your needs. Mine is going in a boat and I was able to find a base that I can screw into the wood panels. I like the different arm attachments. You definitely should go check out theirs Amazon store and see all the different attachments you can get for this. You'll probably find a solution for any mounting needs. Let me also tell you that the springs that they use to help clamp the phone down are very strong and it will hold your phone in place. The quality I just cannot say enough about. I like that it's on a 1 in ball and that you can use other brand attachments for this setup. I can't speak enough about the quality. If you're on the fence of whether or not this is worth the money just buy it and if you're not happy return it. The only negative thing I have to comment about is that it didn't open up far enough vertically for me to put my 24 Ultra (with a unicorn beetle case). If I would have taken my phone out of its case it would have fit. It opened up wide enough but just not tall enough with my case. But I was able to find a different holder and Order that. And I'm going to do a review on that product too. I so badly want to give this more than five stars. The only reason I can't is because it doesn't open up far enough for a larger phone case. If it could open up two or three more millimeters vertically it would have fit. So it'll get Five Stars based on the product itself and it's quality. A phone that's too big isn't the manufacturer's problem. And I should have read the description a little bit further and seen that they don't say a 24 Ultra wouldn't fit. It would, out of the case.Cons of this. If you're looking for lightweight this is NOT a product you want. All the components are made out of aluminum and some steel. So this is very beefy and robust. The springs they use on the retractable parts are very heavy duty so you'll end up using two hands to probably get your phone in and out of the holder. But I would much rather have something that holds a phone then just lets your phone bounce around and fall out.

The phone holder easily unscrews from the 1" Ball. Why isn't there a way to lock it in or just not have be a screw to begin with
