You are going to want to “CHEWS” (choose) this over and over again. The gumball machines look almost real and 3-D. It is absolutely adorable and can be used in many ways. These would be great fun as a party or crafting group activity - or for a classroom. They could also be used as extra large Valentine’s cards or tags - to stand out in a crowd. (Check the size measurements because they are large). It comes with large paper gumball machines - as shown in the seller’s photos and hearts that can be added to the globe part of the gumball machine- as gumballs.Crafting ideas and promoting kindness :You can have kids decorate it any way they want or write kind words or messages on each heart- or positive traits about themselves or others. Use glitter pens or other crafty items to add to embellish. Mini Pom poms would be really cute to glue in the globe as gumballs.Math reinforcement :Another cute idea would be to write Math facts on each heart to reinforce Math skills. For younger grades, practice simple addition and subtraction facts. For upper grade students, you could use the hearts to practice simple division and multiplication facts or use the gumball machine as an “input/output” lesson.Input/ Output Math lesson:After teaching input/output tables use the gumball machine to interpret the table (ex: draw a coin and call it 5 (“input” the coin). Assign a number to each of the hearts. Put the hearts in the globe- each with a different number and ask students to solve the “output” (what would come out of the machine when multiplied by 5 in this example ). So a gumball heart with the #7 on it- would equal 35 as the output - 5x7=35, when the input (coin) was 5.You can also use this to teach multiplying decimals in the same way - by calling the (input) coin $0.05- using the true value of the coin.
