This is a cool looking tea set and works well as a prop. I haven't used it to make tea, but it would be a good experience to have it there in front of you while sipping some exotic blend.

Das Set für Grünen bzw. Schwarzen Tee für traditionelle chinesische Zeremonien kommt in einem großen Karton und ist besonders gut mit Schaumstoff geschützt. Alle Teile sind einzeln in dafür vorgesehenen Aussparungen des Polstermaterials, sodass nichts herumwackeln oder gegeneinander schlagen kann. Diese Umsicht beim Verpacken haben nicht alle Hersteller, zumal auch viele Zusteller nicht unbedingt sanft mit solchen Paketen umgehen. Daher hatte ich Angst, dass das Set beschädigt ankommen würde und wurde positiv überrascht.Wie vom Verkäufer beschrieben, erhält man ein Set aus Ständer (Drachenfigur), Teesieb mit Deckel, einem kleinen Kännchen, zwei Bechern mit Standfüßchen und 6 Schalen.Ich bin alles andere als ein Kenner, weshalb ich dieses Set bestellt habe, um mich damit auseinander zu setzen und die Regeln der Zeremonie kennen zu lernen. Da es sich um eine chinesische Variante handelt, gibt es deutlich weniger Regeln und der Fokus liegt weniger auf der sozialen Tradition als dem Genuss des Tees an sich, was es Einsteigern deutlich vereinfacht. Man muss sich einfach ein bisschen herantrauen und ausprobieren.Alle Teile sind ordentlich lackiert und sauber verarbeitet. Die Gestaltung des Drachen und auch des "Kännchens" in Form eines Kranichs (?) gefällt mir sehr gut. Das Blau hat wunderschöne Farbverläufe, die das Betrachten der Formen zusätzlich zum Vergnügen machen.Das Teesieb verfügt über zwei Austrittslöcher, ebenso wie das Gegenstück auf dem Drachen. Wenn man die Löcher passend übereinander bringt, kann der Tee fließen, dreht man das Sieb jedoch um 90%, verbleibt der größte Teil des Teewassers darin und der Tee kann ziehen. So ganz sicher bin ich mir noch nicht, ob ich da alles richtig mache, aber so funktioniert es. Ich dachte, dass das Sieb anders verschlossen werden kann, um den Abfluss besser zu kontrollieren. Vielleicht können andere Anwender dieses Sets mehr dazu beitragen.Auf jeden Fall kann ich das Set empfehlen und finde auch, dass es sein Geld wert ist. Keine Ahnung, ob die Formen von Hand gestaltet wurden, wahrscheinlich eher mit Gussformen, aber das macht das Gesamtergebnis nicht weniger ansehnlich. Die Verarbeitung ist hochwertig und wenn man damit sorgsam umgeht, wird man lange Freude dran haben. Im Übrigen sollte man Tee ohnehin nicht mit kochendem Wasser übergießen, auch mit der Keramik bin ich mir nicht sicher, wie sie auf solche Hitze reagiert. Da bin ich ebenfalls vorsichtiger und lasse das Wasser auf 70-80°C (je nach Tee) vorher abkühlen.

For starters, this came extremely well packaged, and not a single bump or scratch on the set once it was unpackaged and set up. It came in its own box, with a layer/top of foam upon its individually shaped out base foam insert. Once pulled out, it comes in so many little intricate pieces, and I am in love with it. The quality of the cups, the sugar bowl, the tea bowl itself, the serving bowl, thick, beautiful, a deep red (other than the blue topper on the tea bowl lid).The serving bowl is a peacock, and the tea bowl base is a dragon. Just a heads up, the tea bowl itself just sets on top of the dragon, it does not have a lock on it, so definitely be careful when setting it up or moving it around.
