I have a small kitchen, I have small hands, I have only two mouths to mash for. This is perfect. Price was excellent, it was among the least expensive options available. It doesn't bend or wiggle, it mashes the spuds, it is long enough to be over the rim of my pot while I mash.-I have not scratched my pots, I have a decent stainless steel set and the metal on metal has not posed any issue after multiple uses.-I was tired of the giant nylon one I used for years, it was a headache to clean. This one is simple with no grooves or notches for bits to cling to , and the stainless steel wipes clean with zero effort compared to the glue that is created with potato starch and heat on nylon.Its smaller size is great because my needs are not army sized and my storage space is limited.I normally look for things that are brightly coloured or super cute, but this time I had to choose function over tacky fashion, and I do not regret it. Won't likely need to purchase again, as it is very well built and I can not guess how it could be damaged. I would for sure recommend it if your spud mashing needs are similar to mine.

The size and design of the Farberware Stainless Steel Professional Masher makes it very easy to use! Mashed potatoes dry on it pretty quickly and they’re like cement, so I put it in a bowl of water to soak for a few minutes after being used. Then, I rinse it under water spray. After that, it only needs some minor scrubbing. My only disappointment was when I discovered the handle ends are not sealed. I picked up the masher from the top shelf of the dishwasher (where it was sanitized), and water began leaking from the handle as I lifted it. It needs to be in a vertical position to dry. I searched for quite a while to find just the right potato masher and am very happy with the Farberware Stainless Steel Professional Masher.

After less than one year of use the Farberware potato masher has let us down. The handle has separated into two pieces. I was hoping I had purchased a sturdy product but that is not so. Time to look elsewhere for a longer lasting product.

I couldn't find my potato masher, and thinking I had broken it (I broke something like that), I looked on line to find another good one. When this arrived, I went to put it away where such utensils go, and found my missing potato masher hiding under a delinquent whisk. (What they were up to, I have NO idea.) Anyway, turns out that the previous potato masher was identical, so I must like it. I now have two.
