We give our 1,ooo pound horses one tube each the eve prior to long trailering to encourage drinking water, then another tube when we get to our destination. One of my horses likes it so much she licks the tube like a lollipop.

We always carry a tube or two in our saddle packs as a emergency. I give it to my 27 year old horse before we ride and after ! Works great!! Doesn’t upset his tummy! He doesn’t like the taste though.
