I am not a plumber or heating technician, Just a property owner who prefers to do his own work and figure things out. I had trouble with my existing fan in producing the induction for the igniter. This unit is exactly as described and an identical unit for my 15-20 year old propane hot air furnace. After an easy installation it worked perfectly and is very quiet. Furnace is back up and running with no more igniter issues. I would recommend the purchase of this unit. The price is inline with a factory replacement. You are spending money well worth it and certainly if you do the replacement yourself, you are saving a lot of money.

I bought one 4 years ago and it started making noise. The squirrel cage started walking off of the shaft and rubbing on the housing. I ordered a new squirrel cage and put it on and it was sooo out of balance that I had to order a whole new motor assembly. It has been 2 weeks and so far so good. We will see how long this will last. They need to change the way they keep the squirrel cage onto the motor shaft. That little spring that is supposed to keep it in place gets heated up by the heat from the plenum and it loses its strength. If Fasco would chime in I could give them a way to fix it but then again why would they as they would lose profit because then the problem would be fixed.

If the hamster wheel was built better, this fan would be a winner. However, I go through maybe 1 wheel every 3 years... and by years, I mean winter seasons. They all end up the same, splintered, cracked, loose fins. If you can get the wheel separately, do so. As long as the shell of the blower isn't damaged by friction from the shattered cage being spun around. The motor is good.

All of a sudden I heard a loud banging sound, thought something happening outside. Nope, I discovered it’s my HVAC. I Identified the problematic parts which makes loud noise but didn’t know even its name. I googled by the model number- it’s called inducer. By this time I called a local HVAC company and a service man came to inspect and said dramatic way better to buy a new HVAC, then he went outside and came back and said he can fix it for $1000 for temporary solution. I already knew the parts price. He is asking $800 more. Anyways, I have decided to give a try. Just paid him $89 visit fee. I didn’t find this particulate part where I live and again Amazon came to rescue me- ordered this part and it came way faster than promised date. It took 30 minutes to take off old one and to put new one. Then turned on power and it’s working immediately. So far it’s working fantastic and feeling good saved $800.

This worked perfectly. If you know this is the issue then it is an easy fix for anyone. And if the fan will not give good codes to the furnace that it is working right the furnace will not engage. Takes probably 10 minutes to swap out.

My HVAC guy quoted me almost $400 for a factory draft inducer and I opted for this one for my York furnace instead. To my surprise, I learned, as I was changing the part myself, that it was the same part, same brand, same everything as the factory installed one. It is running well and I am glad that I was able to find it on Amazon.

Great experience. Ordered at 1pm on a Friday, was at my door in Canada at 9:30am on the Monday. Cost was as advertised plus shipping, no extra duties or charges at the door. It was an exact replacement, works perfectly, and it came with the temperature sensor included, so I didn't have to reuse the old sensor. If only I could have ordered the pressure switch from Amazon, but they don't carry it. That part took a week from someone else!

I purchased this inducer blower after the the one in my 7 y/o York furnace went bad... Unfortunately, it went bad in February...but it was during a semi-warm couple of days. This is a direct OEM replacment and looks identical to what is in there now.I have not installed it yet...I had an HVAC guy come over to look at the furnance when it stopped working and he oiled the original one to hopefully get me through a couple days until this one arrived. By the way, HVAC pro's - this is why the general population has a general mistrust for you and similar pro (plumbers, electricians, GC's, etx..) I called in some HVAC support on this since I'm not an expert and it's cold and I have two small kids. I realize the problem is this motor meanwhile, so by the time the guy gets here I already have it removed from the York furnace. He goes to the van w/ it to find a replacement...after 20 minutes he comes back and says he found one for $578. I'm on the phone w/ another local hvac group, they got one for $375. Meanwhile, I found this one online for much, much less. I understand everyone needs to make a living but this was highway robbery. Thanks, but no. It took me 10 minutes to remove this motor and will take less time to put back in. HVAC pro's want to charge me $100/hr and then rob me of nearly $600 additonal dollars for the part!!! Shameful. Thanks Amazon and partner, fast one day shipping - exactly what I needed.I expect it to work perfectly, if not I will update the review.

Just wanted to help other fellow Amazon shoppers on the install for this part. Last week, my HVAC service guy was doing a yearly check-up on the inducer motor, said, "its 6 years old and starting to go, could last a week, could last a year but I recommend you replace it." His company quoted me $600 for the job. I quickly checked Amazon and saw the part only cost $140. Then checked youtube and watched sereral videos showing this exact part installed in less than 20 minutes with just pliers and a screw driver. So, this weekend my father and I installed the part. Yes, was very, very easy but one major point to follow: if you order this inducer assembley from Amazon, it does not come with a gasket, which you will need. I managed to peel off the old one, it was still flexible and not cracking so we re-used it. To get the gasket to stick, we used a think layer of Silicon, which you can get at Home Depot in the caulk area. Part is in, heater is working. Kind of a pain that this needs to be replaced every 6 years, but the HVAC guy saif the average life span of a new HVAC system is only 10-12 years, kind of crazy for a $10,000 system?
